How much fuel recovery does it take to pay for AssetPro?
Most operators know their total monthly diesel but not what each machine burns — so start with the quick estimate: total litres (or total spend) plus a count of fuel-burning assets. If you do have per-equipment figures, switch to the detailed mode for a sharper answer. Every total, breakeven percentage and payback figure recalculates as you type. Nothing is sent anywhere; the whole model runs in your browser.

Exactly how these numbers are calculated
No hidden multipliers or industry averages. Six formulas, applied to the figures you enter.
Fleet diesel cost / month
quick: total litres × ₹ per litre — or the total spend you entered
detailed: litres per unit × ₹ per litre × quantity, summed
Everything downstream is driven by this one figure, so it is the number worth getting right.
5-year diesel spend
monthly fleet diesel cost × 60 months
Flat projection. No fuel-price escalation, no inflation, no discounting is applied.
AssetPro 5-year cost
(setup per unit + (subscription + monitoring) × 12 × 5) × quantity
Setup is charged once per unit; subscription and monitoring are monthly, run for the full 60 months. Quick mode applies one rate to every asset; detailed mode lets it vary by equipment type, which is why the two can differ slightly.
Breakeven %
AssetPro 5-year cost ÷ 5-year diesel spend
The share of fuel spend you would need to recover for the system to pay for itself exactly.
Net 5-year gain
(5-year diesel spend × recovery %) − AssetPro 5-year cost
Shown in red when negative — i.e. when the recovery rate you chose is below breakeven.
Payback period
AssetPro 5-year cost ÷ monthly recovered spend
Deliberately conservative: it repays the entire five-year cost, including setup and all 60 months of fees, out of monthly savings.
Assumptions and limits
- Every figure on this page comes from the inputs above. Nothing is fetched from a live price feed, a market average, or any AssetPro customer account.
- Diesel rate is treated as constant for five years. Real fuel prices move; run the calculator again at a different rate to see the sensitivity.
- Costs are nominal rupees. No present-value discounting is applied on either side, so the comparison is like-for-like but not a financial NPV.
- Hardware replacement, connectivity beyond the monitoring line item, and any integration work are not modelled. Ask us what applies to your sites.
- Blank or zero inputs produce a dash rather than a fabricated value — a missing number is never silently treated as zero savings or zero cost.
- Quick mode is coarser by design: one setup/subscription/monitoring rate is applied to every asset, and total diesel is not attributed to individual machines. On the same fleet it will not match detailed mode exactly. Neither figure is "the truth" — both are models of what you entered.
- Entering a total spend rather than litres skips the diesel rate entirely; the rate then only converts your figure back to litres for display and has no effect on the ROI.
- Nothing you type is transmitted or stored. Reloading the page resets it to the example fleet.
